Wound Biopsy

We are the only pathology lab in the nation specializing in wound biopsies, offering unparalleled insight into the healing process through microscopic observation. For instance, our studies reveal that bacteria in chronic skin ulcers primarily colonize necrotic tissue (slough) rather than causing infection. We evaluate the quality of granulation tissue, the critical scaffold for repair and healing, providing essential information for assessing wound progress. Our expertise also enables the diagnosis of various atypical wounds, offering clinicians valuable guidance for effective management.

Oral Pathology

Dental clinics are tasked with oral cancer screening. The Oral Pathology team compliments our oral HPV test in identifying premalignant and malignant diseases in the mouth as well as other mouth lesions.
